University of Surrey >>>

The University of Surrey, an international university renowned for research and teaching excellence, has always demanded cutting edge IT systems and infrastructure for its students and staff. For example, in 2004, the University carried out one of the largest live production implementations of Microsoft Exchange 2003 to improve communications and availability of resources. The £220,000 project involved the consolidation of seven email platforms being used across various faculties to just one, more efficient messaging system. When deciding to embark on this project, the University wanted to be sure they had a partner they could rely on and this led them to GlassHouse Technologies’ team of independent consultants.

GlassHouse Helps HIT Entertainment Become Digitally Animated >>>

In an ever more digital world, consumer demand for content over any device is constantly growing. The rise of on-demand content, high definition and online viewing capabilities has led to many of our favourite programmes, films and animations transferring from traditional hardcopy to digital. HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading independent children’s entertainment producers and rights owners, is one organisation that has adapted to these changing consumer demands. As more and more of its content became digital, they realised that their data storage strategy would need to dramatically adapt to meet the growing needs of the business. GlassHouse assessed and analysed HiT’s current storage environment and was able to make recommendations that would save the business money immediately and in the long-term.

BT >>>

" BT’s data centre strategy is to achieve industry leading levels of resilience while optimising costs and environmental benefits. We are moving to ‘lights-out’ operations, where highly mobile staff can support the company’s data centre estate across the UK rather than having staff resident in each. "
– Harkeeret Singh, Head of Data Centre Strategy BT

State of Washington Digital Archives >>>

"There was a lot of hype from vendors who wanted to be involved in the archiving project. In choosing outside vendors for this archiving project, we focused on three components: the technical feasibility, data conversion techniques, and content management options."
– Bill Peldzus, GlassHouse Director of Storage Architecture

West Yorkshire Police >>>

"We have benefited from a strong working relationship with the GlassHouse team. The project was groundbreaking for the police service and the support of a company experienced in complex storage and backup networks was crucial to its success and continuity. The achievement of a national level IT system across the country in a matter of a few months is no mean feat and has been a fine example of a public service outfit and private sector companies working together."
– Michael Fickling, Detective Superintendent and Head of Scientific Support

SEPATON >>>

"At SEPATON, we are committed to the success of our customers. With that goal in mind, we have partnered with GlassHouse to implement comprehensive customer support that addresses every stage of data protection through the lifecycle of our products from product installation through product upgrades.”
– Mike Worhach, CEO

Brockway Smith >>>

"I came to Brosco from a much larger business where we had enough people in IT to specialize. We could have people who were Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) experts," says Briggs. "In this business, despite the high level of competency in my group, they have to know a lot about everything. It's difficult to have the necessary depth of competency about something like TSM when you’re only dealing with it periodically."
– David Briggs, CIO

US Pharmaceutical Firm >>>

This large biotech company headquartered in New England was founded in 1993 with a vision that still drives true today – to transcend the limits of medicine. Working with GlassHouse, this firm was better able to manage their data growth which helped them be compliant with Sarbanes Oxley and FDA requirements along with improving their backup asset utilization rates and augmenting their IT staff.

Isle of Wight College >>>

"It is important that we have an efficient backup service that will grow with the College and its resources. GlassHouse has provided us with a solution, which not only fulfills our needs but also offers us so much more. The new system has reduced the amount of time it takes to back up and is far more cost effective as a result. This means that our services can run more efficiently and that we are ready to face the future with a system that can expand to meet our growing requirements.”
– Rosie Quelch, Network Manager
