Patrick J. Scannell Jr., President and CEO, GlassHouse Technologies
Patrick Scannell serves as President and CEO of GlassHouse Technologies. Pat brings a rich operational and financial background to GlassHouse, with more than 30 years of experience helping to guide and scale businesses to success, focusing on building highly differentiated and disruptive value propositions to aggressively capitalize on emerging market opportunities. Pat previously served as senior vice president, CFO and treasurer of Netezza, Inc., where he led Netezza's 2007 initial public offering on the New York stock exchange, and was instrumental in negotiating the sale of Netezza to IBM for $1.9B in November 2010. Previously Pat was SVP and CFO of Silknet Software, where he took the company public on NASDAQ before orchestrating its sale to Kana (NASDAQ: KANA) for $4.2B, a leading provider of enterprise customer support and communications applications. He currently sits on the board of KIVA Systems, an innovative material handling and warehouse automation provider, and on the board of Xtalic Corporation, a metallurgy platform company that transforms metal alloys to new properties for a variety of industry uses. Pat is also on the executive committee of the Boston College Technology Council. He received his B.S. from Boston College and an MBA from the Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College.
Robert Davoli, Managing Director, Sigma Partners
Bob Davoli, managing director, joined Sigma in 1995. He has 20 years of experience in the high-tech industry. Most recently he was President and CEO of Epoch Systems, the leading vendor of client-server data management software products. He sold the firm in 1993 to EMC for $141 million. Previously, he was the Founder, President and CEO of SQL Solutions, a leading purveyor of services and tools for the relational database market. He sold SQL Solutions to Sybase for stock eventually worth over $100 million. Today the SQL Solutions consulting and system administration tools division of Sybase has over $300 million in annual revenues. He served as an executive officer of Sybase for over two years. Bob has a B.A. in History from Ricker College and studied computer science at Northeastern University for two years. He has been responsible for Sigma's investments in Aprimo, Cerulean Technology, Dazel Corporation, edocs, ExaGrid Systems, GlassHouse Technologies, Idiom Technologies, Incipient, Initiate Systems, Internet Security Systems, m-Qube, Noetix, Octane Software, OutStart, StorageNetworks, Tradex Technologies, Vericept, Versata, Vettro, Vignette Corporation, Virtusa, and Visual Mining.
Todd Gresham, Senior Vice President, Xyratex, Int'l.
Todd brings over 25 years of executive management experience in both publicly traded and privately held companies. Experience includes organizational leadership and development, interaction/communication as related to investor relations, global market strategies and implementation, private equity fund raising and marketing acumen. Todd is currently a SVP for the Networked Storage Systems Division of Xyratex International (NASDAQ: XRTX), a publicly held company providing storage solutions to global OEM’s. Since joining Xyratex, the division has grown from approximately $408M to in excess of $1.3B. Prior to Xyratex, Todd was President and CEO of nStor Technologies, Inc., a publicly held data storage systems provider, servicing OEM’s and System Integrators worldwide. Prior to nStor, Todd founded Meritage Associates; a consultancy firm focused on the data storage, information management and network infrastructure markets. Meritage guided over 100 firms, including several Fortune 50 companies in the areas of product strategy, market development, product definition, and capital acquisition. Todd served as Vice president of Global OEM and Reseller Sales at EMC and was responsible for over $1 billion dollars in annual revenues. While with Data General’s CLARiiON Storage Division, Todd held several positions including General Manager of Asia/Pacific Operations, and Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Prior to CLARiiON, Todd held various executive positions with both Philips Laser Magnetics (LMSI), a division of Philips NV and StorageTek. Todd currently serves on the Board of Directors for GlassHouse Technologies, a privately held IT consulting organization and is on the National Advisory Council for Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Charles Lax, Managing General Partner, Grandbanks Capital
Charley is a Co-Founder and Managing General Partner of GrandBanks Capital, focusing on investments in Internet infrastructure, software and software services, security and storage applications, mobile media, financial technologies and services, and wireless technologies and services. Charley's investment career includes investments in 43 portfolio companies, which have resulted in 33 exits thus far. His track record includes 15 companies that went public, of which 10 achieved market caps in excess of $1 billion. The combined value of exits during Charley’s venture career has been over $6.1 billion which includes the $4.3 billion purchase of GeoCities by Yahoo!. Charley is also a founding General Partner of SOFTBANK Venture Capital (established in 1997), an early-stage venture capital firm, and SOFTBANK Capital Partners, originally a strategic late-stage fund (established in 1999). In addition, Charley co-created Flatiron Partners in 1996, a New York City-based venture partnership, sponsored by SOFTBANK and JPMorgan Partners and was a member of its investment management committee. Charley was recently named one of the top 50 venture capitalists on the east coast by AlwaysOn. Charley holds a B.S. from Boston University (magna cum laude).
Lt. General (Ret) USAF Kenneth A. Minihan, Managing Director, Paladin Capital Group
Lt. General Minihan is a Managing Director of Paladin and is focused on the development and implementation of new investment opportunities for Paladin's Homeland Security Fund. Prior to joining Paladin, Lt. General Minihan was the 14th Director of the National Security Agency (NSA)/Central Security Service. While at the National Security Agency, he was instrumental in the definition and implementation of the National Information Assurance Program. During his military service, Lt. General Minihan developed extensive experience in making new technologies operational and implementing leading edge services and products in a competitive environment where lives were often at risk. During the last twenty years of the Cold War and the transition to the Information Age, he was instrumental in the definition and selection of technology solutions to solve many difficult national security information needs. Throughout that time, Lt. General Minihan helped set the performance standards for information enterprise operations. Lt. General Minihan was the most recent Chairman and President of the Security Affairs Support Association, which focuses on shared government and industry national intelligence and technology challenges. He also is a member of the Air Force Association, the National Military Intelligence Association and other national organizations. He has substantial experience in capital raising, enterprise operations, business development and business readiness assurance. He devotes considerable attention to and consults on national security affairs. Lt. General Minihan has a B.A. Degree from Florida State University, a M.A. Degree from the Naval Postgraduate School, and has completed executive development programs at the University of Illinois and Harvard University. Among his awards and decorations are the National Security Medal, the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Bronze Star, the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, and the Legion of Merit.
Glenn Osaka, Senior Vice President of Services, Juniper Networks
Glenn Osaka is Senior Vice President, Services at Juniper Networks. He is responsible for Juniper’s global services organization serving the world’s leading communications service providers, governments, and large enterprises. Glenn is a 30 year information technology and networking veteran. Prior to joining Juniper, he was VP Strategy and Operations for Cisco Systems – Advanced Services. He previously served as President and CEO of Reactivity, Inc. (acquired by Cisco), a start up leader in XML acceleration and security processing. He also served as the Silicon Valley Managing Director of the Redleaf Group, a technology focused venture capital firm. Glenn began his career at the Hewlett Packard Company. Over a 20 year span he held a variety of sales, product management, and services roles. He served as Vice President & General Manager of HP’s $4 billion Enterprise Computing Group and as the leader of HP’s Worldwide Consulting and Systems Integration business. Glenn is a past board member of several high technology start ups and of CommerceNet, an industry consortium focused on the development of electronic commerce. He is currently a director of Glasshouse Technologies, a Massachusetts based consulting firm focused on enabling the "virtualized" datacenter and of Cocoabon, a gourmet chocolate manufacturer. He holds a BA and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Lou Volpe, Managing Partner, Kodiak Venture Partners
Lou Volpe leads Kodiak's investment efforts in software and core technology areas with over 25 years of technology industry experience. He focuses on new and unique software products and technologies that are disruptive and provide quick ROI to customers. Prior to joining Kodiak in 2000, Lou had a distinguished career as part of the executive management teams at three of the most successful technology companies in the Boston area - ArrowPoint Communications, GeoTel Communications and Parametric Technology. He has served as President, Chief Operting Officer and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing as well as a Board member at these companies. Each had very successful IPOs and both ArrowPoint and GeoTel were acquired by Cisco Systems in multi-billion dollar transactions. At Kodiak, one of Lou's portfolio companies had a successful acquisition when IMlogic was acquired by Symantec in January 2006. Lou holds a B.A from Tufts University and an M.B.A. from Boston University.

GlassHouse Technologies Announces Decision to Withdraw IPO
December 6, 2011
Framingham, Mass. – December 6, 2011 – GlassHouse Technologies, a global provider of cloud, virtualization, security and next generation data center consulting and managed services, today announced that based on current market conditions, it has chosen not to proceed with its planned initial public offering at this time. The company intends to withdraw its registration statement on Form S-1 as filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
