Senior Consultants within our Operational Support Services Practice are focused upon delivering solutions and services that are designed to augment organizations’ existing storage, backup, infrastructure and management resources to improve overall service delivery, reduce operational costs, and mitigate operational risks. These services can be administered on-site or remotely and include preparing operational reports, predictive problem management, real-time incident analysis and diagnostic gathering, trends analysis, documenting processes and procedures,
change management, and capacity planning. All service components are built around the ITIL and CobiT best-practice models. This role will be located at the client site (located in Massachusetts). Massachusetts candidates only; relocation is not available.

Mandatory Technical Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8+ years of direct experience designing, implementing and managing storage, and backup technologies with Veritas NetBackup.

Additional Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and work experience
• Ability to document storage and backup best practices, methodologies, and cost models
• Deep UNIX skills, preferably Solaris
• Familiarity with ITIL and CobiT
• Previous experience as a backup administrator
• Previous experience completing technical assessments and providing effective recommendations
• Superb interpersonal communication and the ability to participate in a team or project with several other team members

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage leading storage and backup technologies focused upon Veritas Netbackup
• Develop customized solutions that address specific needs, and the successful management and/or delivery of engagements
• Develop in-depth understanding of a client's business requirements, along with client's current data storage environment; assess and make recommendations
• Develop, promote and follow engagement methodologies
• Document best practices, methodologies, and cost models
• Evaluate and architect storage operations, policies, and procedures to drive strategic storage, SAN, and backup initiatives
